วันนี้ 18 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2568 สื่อเขมร khmertimeskh.com รายงานว่า พันโท อุก ซอร์โฟอัน หัวหน้าฝ่ายเลขานุการฐานทัพเรือเรียม สังกัดกองทัพหลวงกัมพูชา (RCAF) ได้ออกมาเปิดเผย ว่า กองทัพกัมพูชาจะมีการฝึกซ้อมยิงปืนจริงที่ฐานทัพเรือในจังหวัดพระสีหนุ ของทหารเกณฑ์ใหม่ทั้ง 30 นาย ด้วย ปืนไรเฟิล AK47 เพื่อปกป้องเรือรบของตนในทะเล

ทั้งนี้ พันโท อุก ซอร์โฟอัน หัวหน้าฝ่ายเลขานุการฐานทัพเรือเรียม สังกัดกองทัพหลวงกัมพูชา (RCAF) ยังกล่าวเพิ่มเติมอีกว่า “การฝึกซ้อมนี้ไม่ได้จัดขึ้นโดยมีเจตนาที่จะคุกคามหรือโจมตีประเทศเพื่อนบ้านใด ๆ แต่เป็นการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของกองทัพเรือของเรา เพื่อให้พวกเขามีความเชี่ยวชาญและสามารถปกป้องบูรณภาพทางทะเลของกัมพูชาได้”

 “Thirty fresh members of the navy yesterday began their two-day training with AK47 rifles at the Ream Naval Base in Preah Sihanouk province to boost their fighting skills at sea.

Lieutenant Colonel Uk Sorphoan, Secretariat Chief at the Ream Naval Base of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), said the new crew members are naval officer trainees at the Ream Base Multinational Training Centre.

Having completed their three-month naval officers training, they were primed to sharpen their shooting skills before graduating to naval force officers, he said.

“During the two-day gun training, the trainees will shoot with real bullets. They will be trained in many different shooting skills to defend their warships at sea,” said Lt Col Sorphoan.

“The training is not conducted with the intention to threaten or attack any neighboring country, but to strengthen the capacity of our naval forces so that they are skilful and able to defend Cambodia’s maritime integrity.”

He said the trainees will learn long-distance shooting techniques, as well as how to shoot while standing, sitting, and lying prone.

To avoid risks, travellers and fishermen are advised to steer clear of the area near the naval base where the training is ongoing, he said.

He urged them not to confuse any gunshots they might hear with the sounds of fighting.”
